Temporary closure of Whinfell Road                                                    
                                                                                                                                                                              
The U9083 Whinfell Road on Darras Hall Estate, Ponteland will be closed from 8 December 2008 until the 23 December 2008 for water connection work to take place. 

A diversion route will be put in place as the road will be completely closed from its junction with Woodend to its junction with Edge Hill in the district of Morpeth. 

The closure has been requested by Owen Pugh GDC in order to make connections to Foul and Surface Water sewers. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption during the repair works.

Ponteland Town Council was founded in 1894 and meets monthly to discuss local issues  affecting residents of the Ponteland Area.

We are based at Unit 1, Meadowfield Court which is on Meadowfield Industrial Estate and have  twelve local council members plus two staff.

The Council's Staff are available at the Ponteland Office on weekdays from 9.30a.m. to 12.30p.m. and we'll try to answer all of your queries.
