Ponteland Town Council

About Ponteland Town Council

Ponteland Town Council was set up to provide essential Public Services and valuable support to the Local Community of Ponteland.

We are located in the South of Northumberland close to Newcastle International Airport.

Ponteland Town Council is responsible for a number of services provided to the residents  of the Ponteland and Darras Hall areas.

Much of the work done by the council is through Working Groups, who make recommendations for action to be taken by Ponteland Town council. These Working Groups include the Highways Working Group and the Environment Working Group.

The Council also have a planning committee which meets once a fortnight to look at all of the  planning applications within the Ponteland Parish.

If Ponteland residents have any comments, they should be sent to Northumberland County Council who are the Planning Authority for this area.

It should be noted that the Town Council Planning Committee are only consultees to the Northumberland County Council and as such have no specific powers.

Meeting Dates are posted on our notice boards.
